    Grandy Village
    Wetlands Mitigation

HRT recently awarded the construction contract for the Grandy Village wetlands mitigation. The construction activities involve replacing the wetlands that will be disturbed along The Tide light rail route. Over the next eight months, to replace the existing wetlands, approximately 1.8 acres of grading and planting along the eastern branch of the Elizabeth River will occur. The construction activities will be coordinated with the Army Corp of Engineers and Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA).
