Business Spotlight –Virginia Stage Company

This week our spotlight is on Virginia Stage Company. Located in the historic Wells Theatre, Virginia Stage Company has achieved a national reputation as one of the country’s foremost regional theaters. In the coming years, Wells Theatre patrons will be able to Ride the Tide to the Monticello Station to enjoy an evening of theatrical excellence! “We look forward to The Tide making it easier for our patrons to come Downtown and to the Wells Theatre,” said Keith Stava, VSC’s Managing Director.

In the meantime, the Virginia Stage Company continues its 29th season with a culinary comedy, The Poetry of Pizza, which runs from February 26 through March 16. The season will close with the regional premiere of the bio-musical of Hank Williams: Lost Highway, running April 1-20. This production will feature Hank and his band onstage and is sure to “blow the roof” off the Wells Theatre.

In the years since its founding, Virginia Stage Company has made significant contributions to the quality of life in Hampton Roads, presenting over 125 plays through more than 2,500 performances, revitalizing and renovating the historic Wells Theatre and preserving the legacy of live theater for future generations.
