Heather Stein

Heather Stein is the Public Outreach Coordinator for Line Section 1. Heather joined Hampton Roads Transit in 2007 to coordinate The Tide’s public outreach activities in Norfolk’s Central Business District. She has an extensive marketing and corporate event planning background with significant experience developing and implementing media relations, marketing, public and community relations strategies.

Heather comes to HRT from Troutman Sanders LLP, a law firm where she coordinated and significantly contributed to the marketing initiatives for the firm's Hampton Roads offices. A native of Pennsylvania, Heather has a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University where she concentrated her studies in the area of communications and public relations. When asked what excited her most about The Tide light rail system, Heather replied, “It’s really exciting for me to be a part of something that will help to shape the future of Hampton Roads.”
