System Features
The initial Tide Light Rail system is comprised of 9 light rail vehicles. Light rail vehicles are part of a modern form of public transportation. The Tide will operate a two car train that runs on tracks in city streets and on dedicated right-of-way. The length of the train will be no longer than a city block so that stopped LRVs do not block intersections. The LRVs will be driven by an on-board train operator and powered by an overhead electrical system, making the system clean and quiet.
